Not the best day for the University of Michigan football program. First, newly-appointed head coach/spread offense guru Rich Rodriguez wrote a
$4 million check to West Virginia University. Then, running back Kevin Grady was in a Grand Rapids court
pleading not guilty to drunk driving charges.
The author is no mathematician, but a
blood-alcohol level of .281 is like 3.5 times the legal limit in the mitten state. And $4 million seems like an awfully expensive "sorry for screwing you over" penalty to shell out. Not exactly the behavior of
Michigan men.
