Somewhere John Kruk is smiling coyly. With Barry Melrose headed to the Tampa Bay Lightning, the former Phillies first baseman stands unopposed at the top of the ESPN analyst mullet leaderboard.While the author may not particularly care for hockey as much as the average Canadian, he's always enjoyed Melrose's ability to provide analysis without alienating the casual observer. Plus, his fashion sense is much more sensible than others in the hockey talk game.
For all you kids out there: the Lightning also experimented with a female goalie for a brief time.
