The author probably won't be watching much television tonight. Not because he's morally opposed to it, but because he'll be here. Now that they've finally lost at home maybe everyone can just calm the heck down.
For those people not within walking distance to a professional baseball match, it's all about Omaha tonight. And not the ridiculous poker that has invaded our television screens all too often in the past five years. We're talking one game for all the marbles in middle America as Fresno State and Georgia square off. Last night's game featured 29 runs, lasted almost four hours and just really made for a complicated box score.
During commercials, it's gotta be the series finale of "Farmer Wants a Wife." It's about -- wait for it -- a farmer who wants a wife. The only question left is if farmer wants a wife or if he wants a wife with a lip ring even more.
